Race You To Bottom
First of all I would like to apologize for my complete abandonment of the blog, I just got so caught up with leaving the deployment and getting adjusted to being back home I got to lazy to write anything of substance. After a few weeks of being home and a much needed trip to California I finally feel like I can write something isn't complete garbage. I'm going to take a queue from a fellow blogger the ever so lovely Tornado Tiff and spew a little word vomit.
I would like to address the issue of "being the bigger man" honestly 90% of the time it's utter horseshit. I mean I understand being able to walk away from certain situations is a great quality to have, but sometimes people just need a good old fashioned ass whooping to completely get your point. You can only let so many thing go before you come off as a giant pussy. Now here lies the problem with the whole aspect of forgiveness and "being the bigger man" I agree whole heartedly that it takes a strong man to forgive someone for doing him wrong in any aspect, but at what point does this forgiveness stop being just that and make you look fucking stupid to keep letting people walk all over you? Let's face it sometimes a man has to keep up appearances and be just that a man. Now by no means am I saying you have to beat someone into a coma to prove your a man, but as a man you are hardwired to fight either verbally or physically for something or anything you believe in. I personally believe respect is one those things you have to strive to maintain. Genuine respect between a friends within group is a rarity these days so sometimes even your friends just need a little reminder of why you are special to them and vice versa, now if that comes with a little sit down over dinner or swift punch to the back of the dome the choice is yours.
Word of advice be bold and go for what you want or who you want, quit being scared. Honestly life is atleast a thousand times more fun. Ask that person out, take that class, buy that car, dance to that song, take that shot, hit the blunt, hell have fun but don't be a retard yeah you do only live once so actually do it, but please do it responsibly.
I've been home for about a month now and it's weird, everything has changed but me and I don't really know how to feel about it, some of it's awesome other things are a little sad. People and getting engaged settling down, friends seem to be growing apart, hey I understand we are getting older and we got shit to do finally but don't let friendships suffer because real friends will be by your side and look out for you, and most of all they'll be there to wipe your eyes.
That's all I got for right now but hey you never know maybe in a bit you'll get a message in a bottle from the bottom till then just keep swimming.
