"I know i cheated on you, but damn.......shut up!"

My last post dealt with the trials that good men sometimes have to go through. How no matter how good a man is, or how trustworthy he proves himself to be, his woman will hound him because her insecurities or past experiences (or both) tell her that she can’t trust him. I’ll have to expand on that another time; I had help realizing that I didn’t go deep enough with that one. Funny how a beautiful woman can help you put things into proper perspective

Anyway, now i'm going to talk about the type of men who can push a lady to that aggravating point and fuck it up for everybody; the type of men who make it difficult for us all.

A couple of years ago one of my boys (who shall remain nameless) told me about some of the problems he was having with his girlfriend. He told me that he'd cheated, and she wouldn’t leave him alone about it. I kid you not, this fool said to me "I know i cheated on her, but damn, i wish she'd leave me the fuck alone about it!"

My response was intelligent, succinct, and quite clever.

The response being "nigga have you lost your natural born mind?!"

Fellas realize and understand something. Women have long memories. And by long, I mean YEARS long. They’ll remember some shit that you did on a Thursday night 15 years ago. So, if you mess up, prepare to have to put in the time and effort to make it right. If you don’t want to take the time, or you think that she's not worth the effort, just cut bait and move on. But on the off chance that she's everything that you’ve ever wanted in a woman, take the time and effort to show her that you're worth her trust. Yes, you will have to hear her mouth. No, a lot of the time it’s not fair. But you fucked up. Deal with it. Deal with her. ESPECIALLY if you cheated on her. If you cheated on her, and she takes you back, don’t say shit. Because that is a long hard road back to forgiveness.

 Again, if you don’t want to put forth the effort, just find someone else. But don’t act like she’s doing you a favor by forgiving you when you mess up. Now, do women go overboard with this shit sometimes? YES Does the punishment always fit the crime? HELL NO. They’re women. Being irrational and overemotional is their M.O.            

But that is where the time, effort, and patience (a damn near superhuman amount of patience)  come into play. If she’s worth it, stick it through. Because a once in a lifetime woman is exactly that. They don’t fall into your lap all that often.
