Seems that trust issues are the newest topic here, so let's look at it from my perspective. Not to be confused with all girls perspectives, cause TRUST me when I say that we do not all operate the same, in fact if you generalize about us then you obviously do not completely understand the women in your life. 

Trust really is the most important thing in the entire relationship. I'll admit I'm guilty of using the line, I trust you, but it's her I don't trust. I know I'm a jealous person and I know how hard it is to stop someone who you've had past feelings for. Most of it comes down to you reflect what you're feeling about yourself combined with your past experiences. If you are using that line on your boyfriend, it's probably because of your own insecurities. Anyone you're in a relationship should fully understand where you're coming from, which leads into the fact that you have to fully understand yourself.

Did your old boyfriend cheat on you? Did you cheat on your old boyfriend? Obviously you're going to have trust issues if that is the case. Instead of dragging your shit with you, let it go. Whatever relationship you are in now isn't the one you used to be in. Give them a clean slate and give yourself one too - if they're with you they probably are going to be giving you one as well. You can't change your past, only create your future. Take delight when people flirt with your boyfriend, at the end of the night he should be walking up to you and telling you that he can't wait to get you home. That's the nice thing about trust in those situations, you end up with girls wishing they were you. Feeling like a celebrity, isn't that what most of us want?
